1. Gather the two pieces of 12-inch by 12-inch scrapbook paper and scoring tool on top of the cutting mat. Use the scoring tool to score the scrapbook paper every inch.
NOTE: To create one medallion, you will need two pieces of scrapbook paper in the same design, each 12-inches by 12-inches
2. Using the paper cutter, cut the two pieces of scored scrapbook paper in half, perpendicular to the scored lines you created in step 1. This will give you four pieces of scrapbook paper, each 6 inches by 6 inches.
3. Place the Halloween-themed decorative tape along the edge of the scrapbook paper, perpendicular to the scored lines, and use the decorative edge punch to create a design along the tape.
Repeat this step to decorate each of the pieces of scrapbook paper.
4. Fold each piece of scrapbook paper along the scored lines in an accordion fashion, and roll the patterned adhesive onto the top folded edge of each piece of scrapbook paper.
NOTE: To create a medallion with a pointed edge, use the utility knife to cut the taped edge of the scrapbook paper on an angle before applying the adhesive to the folded edge.
5. Adhere the four pieces of scrapbook paper together by pressing the folded edges with adhesive together. This will create a cirle of scored paper.
NOTE: To create a medallion with a pointed edge, use the utility knife to cut the taped edge of the scrapbook paper on an angle before applying the adhesive to the folded edge.
6. To create the medallion shape, stand the circle of scored paper up on the table. While holding the bottom edge of the scrapbook paper against the table, push the top edge of the scrapbook paper down toward the center of the circle. Continue moving around the circle of scrapbook paper pushing the top edges down until the scrapbook paper is flat on the table in a circle.
7. Place a dot of hot glue in the center of the medallion, and place a decorative apply the clip to the strip, making sure the tab is accessible for future removal. Press firmly along the entire clip for 30 seconds. Halloween-themed sticker on top of the glue to secure the shape of the medallion.
NOTE: Be sure to follow all manufacturer warnings and instructions when using the hot glue gun.
8. Punch a hole in the top of each medallion. Then, thread the ribbon through the hole and secure with a tight knot.
Repeat steps 1 – 8 to create additional medallions, as desired.
NOTE: If creating multiple medallions, vary the lengths of the ribbon attached to each medallion.
9. To hang the medallions above an entryway, clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol, wipe gently and let dry. Remove the Command™ Clear Decorating Clips and adhesive strips from the packaging, separating the strips from each other.
10. Remove the black “wall side” liner from an adhesive strip, and place it on the desired location on the wall, pressing firmly along the entire clip for 30 seconds. Remove the blue liner from the adhesive strip, and apply the clip to the strip, making sure the tab is accessible for future removal. Press firmly along the entire clip for 30 seconds.
11. Repeat steps 11-12 to adhere additional decorating clips to the wall above the entryway. After waiting one hour, hang the medallions on each clip.
